I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland (1965). I attended Baltimore City public schools and graduated from Baltimore City College in 1973. I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior in March of 1980. My early Christian years were spent singing on various choirs at the First Baptist Church of Cherry Hill and doing Street Evangelism. I moved my membership to Shining Star Baptist Church of Middle River in 1984 where I have served as Assistant Pastor from 1999 until January 2015 when I was Blessed to be chosen as Pastor of Shining Star Baptist Church. I studied at Arlington Bible College and spent some time studying at Baltimore School of the Bible. I attended Lancaster Bible College for two years majoring in Christian Counseling. I currently teach Christian Missions at Baltimore School of the Bible. I was licensed to preach in 1986 and ordained in 1991. I am married to the most loving woman (Alanda) and we have been married for 31 years. We have three wonderful children (Tamariah 41, Fredric 37 and Courtney 28). We are blessed with two grandchildren (Malik and Kalla). In November 2013 we became the proud parents of Chance Bentley Barber (2). I am the Founder and President of Friends of Africa Mission Ministries Inc. established in 2000 and ministering in Ghana West Africa amongst Muslims in the Ashanti Region. I have been organizing and leading Mission trips to Ghana since 1999, but I myself, I have been going there since 1997. I have served as a Board Member of AARAMA (African Americans Reaching Africa Ministers Association) ministering in Kenya East Africa. I served as a member of the Board of Directors for Searchlight Global Missions. The Lord has permitted me to travel across the United States speaking and teaching at many Mission Conferences over the years. I served at President of the Foreign Mission Board for the Harford, Baltimore and Cecil Counties Ministers and Deacons Union for 8 years. I am an Evangelist/Tent Revivalist. Most of all, I am a child of the King. Whatever I have accomplished in this life is all because of God's grace. He has blessed me to be an Instrument in His hand. THEME: A generation of women sharing the wonders and the mercies of the Lord to the next generation in order that the praise and adoration of the Lord continues. THE MISSION: To equip women to fulfill their Godly roles in fellowship and service in the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. THE PURPOSE: To help us grow spiritually and to serve as unto the Lord and to point us to a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and one another that will overflow into our homes, on our jobs, in our church and our communities. In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul describes God as a merciful and forgiving Father who unites us in Christ and empowers us to live by the Spirit. We’re adopted children and fellow citizens with the saints because of God’s loving pursuit on our behalf. In this 7-session study, Bible teachers, authors, and friends Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes, and Melissa Kruger walk through the book of Ephesians, examining the invaluable truths Paul’s letter holds for us today. Along the way, they’ll help us understand the riches of our inheritance as daughters of our heavenly Father, as well as what it means to walk in a manner worthy of our calling.

Heading I was raised in my family church Swan Creek United Methodist Church, Aberdeen, MD, where I remained until the age of sixteen. I learned of God's love for man and I was taught to be good, but never understood the Gospel. After understanding that Jesus Christ, being God in the flesh, died on the cross for all of my sins, was buried and was raised on the third day, I received Him as my personal Savior. After my conversion I joined and regularly attended Shining Star Baptist Church, where I was nurtured in the Word of God. I learned under the solid biblical teachings of my Pastor James Johnson. I was also encouraged to listen to radio ministers such as Tony Evans, Charles Stanley, Chuck Swindol, Vernon McGee, and John McArthur. I also began to attend Baltimore School of the Bible in an effort to learn more of the bible; I had a hunger to know the truth. My relationship with Jesus began to take shape as I spent a lot of time in prayer and reading the bible. I began working with the youth in the church and community, teaching them the Word of God and many gave their lives to Jesus Christ. I began to feel a burden to share God's Word with everyone I met. I began writing messages that resulted from my personal study of the Word of God. I talked to my pastor about my desire to preach the Word of God and to my surprise he was not as excited as I was. He continued to observe my walk before the Lord and after a few years had gone by, he decided to license me to preach the Gospel. Ironically my first sermon was delivered in the church of my youth, Swan Creek United Methodist Church. My first sermon topic was "I Must Be About My Father's Business". Biographical Sketch for Elder Aaron Lewis Aaron D. Lewis, Associate Minister at Shining Star Baptist Church. Served in the Military in Vietnam and received Armed Forces, President Citation and Purple Heart medals. Received a Associated Degree at Blackwood Community College, Blackwood, New Jersey. Studied at Glassboro State and earned 69 credits. Received Christian education by taking classes at Dallas Theological Seminary, Washington Capital Seminary and obtained a certificate from the Billy Graham School of Evangelism. Received a Certificate of License from New Hope Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. James Spellman. Also received a certificate of ordination from Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Fruitland, MD under the pastorate of Rev. John O. Jones. Aaron Lewis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at age 16. He is married to Wanda J.
